Gobble Gobble!
May you remember that the food, family and friends are nice, but what this holiday is about is a remembering to be thankful for the abundance in our lives….
Cultivate Mindfulness.
See gratitude as a daily practice.
In pictures, words and songs,
let children express a grateful heart.
with Gratitude
*Note – Many years ago, a nut loaf would have been here on this list, but our family chooses to eat in the way we would forage and discover – and no where would we find, be able to break open and consume 4 cups of nuts of different varieties. Many holiday feasts have several cups of nuts in their recipes. One year I added up 14 cups of nuts to prepare my “raw feast” for my family. Nuts are very heavy and in our opinion, should be enjoyed by the handful every now and again but not in the massive quantities which many recipes call for. Especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas – please be cautious when combining dishes and keep count of the nuts. Those of you who have seen the film will remember me going into the nut controversy/danger in great detail! ~ Happy Holidays!
